Wednesday, March 25, at 18.00, the rooms of Casa di U, in Via Carelli 19, will host, for the first time in Naples, the exhibition of the Roman artist Salvatore Marsillo, entitled “Arcipelago” of differences ” Exclusively for Ù Arte, the exhibition space of Casa di U, Salvatore Marsillo, a young but already well-established Roman artist, presents himself for the first time to the Neapolitan public, with the project “Arcipelago delle Differenze”, which contains almost twenty paintings , mostly unpublished, with a strongly material nature and a great visual impact. Experimenter of different fields of art, from painting to photography, Marsillo brings out the deepest layers of the soul, through an interior journey that starts from raw material to become more and more refined to the passage to the surface. An almost cathartic journey towards a reality that, initially, we reject, confused by the conditioning of society that would require slaves and homologated to a single thought. Marsillo highlights this magmatic drive, which is transformed into the path, to arrive at a metamorphosis in which we finally glimpse that archipelago of differences: an indistinct and moving sea, on which float islands that are our souls in progress.
His works push the spectator to travel, with his mind and his gaze, inside himself, through material and chromatic extrusions, interspersed with archaic signs, scratches, incisions and geometric elements, as if he wanted to return to the origin of being human, to rediscover that lost purity and respect for the distances, geographical and mental, which are the basis of cohabitation, as the artist explains: “Through the” archipelagos of differences “I intend to communicate the need to become aware of the differences that exist between the various realities of our time, on a personal level (of the individual man) and on a social level. These works express the need to consciously accept the otherness that surrounds us, without looking for a “reductio ad unum” that there can never be; therefore they represent an invitation to tolerance, to recognize in others the infinite possibilities of being and of existence which constitute that opposite polarity indispensable for the purposes of our own growth and evolution. It is then up to the will and sensitivity of each person to build bridges between one island and another, to seek a dialogue, any form of communication, a comparison. Art, which does not know nationality, language, religion or political belief but is based only on the alphabet of emotions, is the instrument par excellence that can bring islands far between them “. The exhibition will be open until April 8th.
